Test Engineer

Location: Perth, WA

Your impact and contribution

As a Test Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality in software designed to improve healthcare technology. You'll work closely with developers and cross-functional teams to create and automate tests, assess testability, and ensure that the software meets rigorous quality standards. This is an exciting chance to apply your testing expertise in a purpose-driven environment, where your work directly contributes to advancements in healthcare.

Responsibilities:

  • Assessing software requirements and specifications to design both manual and automated tests.
  • Executing and improving test procedures for optimal software testing efficiency.
  • Identifying, documenting, and reporting defects and errors through both manual and automated testing.
  • Collaborating with developers to diagnose and resolve issues discovered during testing.
  • Automating test processes to enhance testing effectiveness and speed.
  • Conducting post-release testing to ensure requirements are met and software works as expected.
  • Working across teams to ensure quality at every stage of the software development lifecycle.


Your Experience and Qualifications to be Considered

Essential:

  • Proven experience as a Test Engineer or in a similar role with test automation exposure.
  • Exposure to Jira, GitHub, or similar tools.
  • Proficiency in Python and JavaScript.
  • Proven effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • A desire to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with different development methodologies.

Desirable:

  • Exposure to AWS and Azure cloud services.
  • Experience with API testing and tools.
  • Testing experience in a healthcare or regulated environment.

Your impact and contribution.

As a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst you will work closely with senior leadership and in partnership with the Technology Project Manager in a corporate office environment. You will be a valued contributor to fast-paced and sometimes reactive project environment, with a core focus on a large-scale ERP implementation. You will support end to end project lifecycles, from requirements gathering through to testing, change support and go-live. 


Responsibilities.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse business requirements.
  • Leverage your expertise in ERP to design, configure, and optimise workflows and processes.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, stakeholders, and technical teams to define and document business and system requirements.
  • Lead and participate in workshops and interviews to elicit information and clarify business objectives.
  • Analyse current and future state business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support organisational change management activities including stakeholder communications and training      content development.
  • Contribute to the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks and issues.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure requirements are accurately implemented and validated.
  • Support post-implementation activities including lessons learned and process improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in creating and executing UAT test cases, and support user training and organisational change activities.
  • Support go-live activities and post-implementation reviews.


Qualifications and experience you will need to be considered.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, IT, or certifications related to business analysis. Relevant BA certifications such as IIBA, BABOK.
  • Solid understanding of corporate systems including HR, Finance, and Procurement.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a complex technology or ERP-focused environment.
  • Strong business process modelling and documentation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging diverse stakeholders and translating business needs to technical teams.
  • Open to managing (at times) UAT, change support, and project coordination.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies such as PMBOK, PRINCE2.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to act quickly in changing situations.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
